About us.
Beyond Hockey was started as a way for players to get the 1on1 video coaching that they are missing throughout their season. Not only to help them advance their game to a higher level, but to also provide guidance as they try to navigate the ever changing hockey landscape throughout their young careers. The main purpose of Beyond Hockey is to break down your shifts in a detailed manner that is going to show you the habits and details missing from your game, all with the goal being to enhance your hockey IQ so you know where to be with and without the puck on your stick.
Meet Your Coach - Dustin Manz
Youth Hockey
From Squirts through my first year of bantams I played AA hockey for the Traverse City Northstars. I then finished my last year of bantam (14u) with Compuware AAA, which led to me to playing my last two years of youth hockey for LIttle Ceasars u16 AAA.
Junior Hockey
Following my last year of u16 I signed a tender with the Aston Rebels in the NAHL where I played one season. Following that season I moved onto the Prince George Spruce Kings in the BCHL where we went to the finals both my years there, ultimately winning the BCHL championship during my last season with them. Where I also finished top 5 in scoring throughout the league
NCAA Division 1
I went on to play 3 years for Lake Superior State University where we won a WCHA championship my sophomore year. Following my Junior year I transferred to AIC where I would finish my senior year and also play a 5th year where I would ultimately finish 7th with the most NCAA Division 1 games played at 181gp.
Professional Hockey
I am currently in my second year pro where I play within the Chicago Blackhawks Organization for the Indianapolis Fuel of the ECHL
